Following Nick Cannon's freestyle Divorce Papers agreement rap, TMZ reports that his estranged wife Mariah Carey is left in confusion after the actor claims he does not see their children, five-year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan.

In the four-minute rap, posted to SoundCloud (17 June) – and then shared on his social media accounts – the America's Got Talent host rapped: "And now I can't see my kids 'cause the government sucks," and "It's f***** up that the time you spend with your own kids is called visitation."

According to TMZ, a source insisted that the 46-year-old singer and the 33-year-old actor have gotten along extremely well, especially in the child custody department. They say Carey has never denied Cannon access to the twins and the father-of-two has always been able to see them whenever he wanted.

TMZ also reported that Carey, who is engaged to businessman James Packer, believes that her ex-lover is being manipulated by his lawyers – with sources saying there's no issue between the former couple.

In the freestyle rap, the rapper opened up about the drama surrounding his divorce, saying: "...What we really need to think about is how a child deals, how a child feels, because we got two.'

He concluded his flow by finally agreeing to officially end his marriage to Carey, rapping the line: 'F*** it, I'll sign these papers.'

Last night (18 June) the pop superstar shared a video of herself popping champagne hours after Cannon released the song.

Fans claim that the superstar was celebrating Cannon finally saying he will sign their divorce papers, after a year of prevaricating. On the video, one fan commented: "@chequitars U did NICK WRONG but then again I wasn't there"

The pair first separated in August 2014, with Cannon filing for divorce in December of that year.
