Cracking its whip for the second day over Pithampur based firms on suspected provident fund (PF) evasion; the Employee Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) officials raided another two firms here on Saturday.

Indore: Cracking its whip for the second day over Pithampur based firms on suspected provident fund (PF) evasion; the Employee Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) officials raided another two firms here on Saturday.
Continuing the raid, a team of more than eight EPFO officials again summoned officials of two companies- Narmada Extraction Private Limited and Spentex Industries Limited.
The official sources have claimed that PF of more than 1,600 employees at Spentex Industries Limited was deducted from their salaries, but it was not deposited in the organisation.
"PF amount of employees, which was not deposited by the Spentex Industries Limited, amounted to more than Rs1.25 crore. Similarly, in the Narmada Extraction Private Limited, PF of around 100 employees was evaded by the company," said an official.
