C:WindowsTempphpD7A1.tmpEast Stirlingshire may have dropped into Lowland League but that does not mean they are not busy preparing to gain promotion in one go during the 2016-17 season. 'Shire have secured the signing of Derek Ure on a pre-contract agreement and he will join the squad once his contractual obligations with Camelon Juniors run out.

Ure clocked up more than 300 appearances for Shire over a ten season spell after making his debut for the club back in 2001. He celebrated ten years continuous service with a testimonial against Falkirk but left to pursue other options at the end of the 2010/11 season. Ure spent last season working with newly-appointed Shire head coach John Sludden at Camelon Juniors, and the two will continue that partnership in the season ahead as Shire begin our first-ever Lowland League season. Sludden and Ure are delighted that they can carry on working together next season.
