Ahmedabad: The case of Ketan Suthar, the 14-year-old boy who went missing from Khokhra area of the city, took a serious turn on Saturday as his parents reported receiving a phone call from their son, who seemed to be in trouble, but before he could say anything beyond "Papa Papa", someone had snatched the phone away from him.
Khokhra police officials said they immediately tried to track the cell number from which Ketan had called his father Kantibhai Suthar, a resident of Manhar colony in Khokhra.
"The call could not be traced immediately, as the cell phone was switched off," said a senior police official.
D M Chauhan, inspector of Khokhra police station said that late on Saturday afternoon, they were able to trace the phone's location to Dahod when it was switched on.
"We did not want to take any chances, and hence informed the city crime branch about the incident," added Chauhan.
