ULCA property owners asked to regularise land by June 25
Hyderabad: Land owners, who had occupied surplus land as per the Urban Land Ceiling (ULC) Act (now repealed), can apply for regularisation (transfer of ownership) before June 25 or else the government will resume it, warned Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy district collectors here on Saturday.
The two collectors spoke at a joint press conference at the Ranga Reddy collectorate on Saturday.
They said, "The Telangana government has given a last chance to utilise the opportunity for regularisation of surplus ULC land."
As per revenue records, 700 acre surplus land was identified in Ranga Reddy district. The government had issued a GO Ms No 92 on May 26 for regularisation and the applicants have to apply at Mee Seva centres before June 25. "We have received 700 applications till date. A three-member committee, headed by revenue sub-divisional officer (RDO), will scrutinise these applications," Ranga Reddy district collector M Raghunandan Rao.
As the polio virus was traced at a location in Amberpet (Hyderabad district), the Hyderabad district administration has started making arrangements to administer polio vaccination for six days from June 25. TNN
