No power supply
There will be no power supply on June 21 between 9.30 a.m. and 5 p.m. in Aadi Udupi, Pandubettu, Kalmady, Malpe Pete, Malpe Bunder, Madhwanagar, Kodavooru, Salmara, Kola, Hanuman Nagar, Fish Carrying Yard, Kodankooru, Hanumantanagar, Nittooru, Ambalapady, Kinnimulky, Kannarpady, Naikere, Ajjarkadu, Kadekar, Kidiyooru, Padukere, Bannanje, City Bus Stand, Shiribidu, Brahmagiri, Kadabettu and surrounding areas.
Between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. there will be no power in Kundapura pete, Japti Water Supply, Kone, Aamparu, Japti, Kalavara, Basooru, Kodi, Ballooru, Anagalli, Gopady, Kumbashi, Tekkatte, Koteshwara, Molahalli, Korgi, Wandse, Gulvadi, Bandya, Gangolli, Shirooru, Uppunda, Kolluru, Karkunje, Kerady, Tallooru, Byndoor, Golihole, Kergal, Trasi, Hemmady, Bellala, Chitooru, Hattiyangadi, Badakere, Aalooru, Harkooru, Haklady, Noojady, Kundabarandady, Senapura, Yalajit, Ganganadu, Nada, Hosadu, Gujjady, Hombady, Mandady, Kota, Padukere, Manooru, Kotatattu, Giliyaru and Bannady, according to a MESCOM press release.
Awareness programme
The city traffic police on Saturday held an awareness programme in Panambur for drivers of LPG containers about proper locking of containers. There were talks about the need to maintain lane discipline, prevent over speeding and compliance traffic and emission rules. As many as 30 drivers participated in the programme. Assistant Commissioner of Police Uday Nayak heard grievances of tanker drivers.
Yoga club started
The Vikas PU College started Yoga Club in its premises on Saturday. The new club was inaugurated by yoga instructor Gopalakrishna Delampady. He demonstrated several yogasanas and mudras to students. Former MLA and Chairman of Vikas Education Trust Krishna J. Palemar was present.
