Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, June 18: The workers of Shiv Sena (Ashok Gupta) & Dogra Front under the leadership of its President Ashok Gupta took out a procession in Jammu city demanding equal facilities to the Amarnath yatris as are given to the Hajj pilgrims.
Mr Gupta while addressing the protesters stated that the Toll Tax and the Entry Tax for the Amarnath yatris should be exempted by the State Government in the shape of subsidy to the yatris and he made an appeal to law makers to enact an act in this regard.
He further stated that for the first time there is a BJP -PDP Government in the State so collective efforts must be made by the MLAs and MPs so that subsidy is given to the Amarnath yatris.
Mr Gupta stated that he had send a telegram to the Governor stating that a large number of the pilgrims lost their lives because of lesser amenities, so this time appropriate medical arrangements should be made like abundant oxygen cylinders, normal air pressure rooms on interval of every 10 kms so that there should be no causality and yatra can be a complete success for which the pilgrims travel from all over the world.
