MENDHAR, June 18: The BDO Mendhar Tariq Aziz has ordered an inquiry against the Gram Rozgar Sevak Niaz Ahmed working with MGNREGA in a forgery case, attached him with BDO Office and seized all official records from him.
The Inquiry Committee will be headed by Inspector Panchayat Subash Sharma and it will submit its report within 10 days, BDO said.
He said Mr Ahmed was given a cheque on his name by BDO amounting to Rs 46000 to make payments under the MGNREGA works in the area and while withdrawing the amount from the bank the concerned official committed forgery by adding one lakh more amount in the cheque and made the withdrawal of same from the Bank.
After the fraud was deducted by the bank it reported the matter to BDO and other authorities of the Department which initiated action in the matter. The BDO said after the Inquiry Committee submits the report the Department will register the FIR against the official in concerned police station and initiate disciplinary action against him.
