Discoloured water flows from Fatorda taps

Margao: Residents of Goa Housing Board in Ambajim-Fatorda were startled to see blackish water flowing from their taps on Saturday afternoon.
A resident (requesting anonymity) told STOI that his residential colony, located behind the Matanhy Saldanha administrative complex in Ambajim-Fatorda, had dark-tinted water flowing from their taps.
When contacted, PWD assistant engineer (AE) Vijay Kudchadkar claimed that he was on leave and suggested that STOI contact the PWD AE V G Naik who is holding charge in his absence.Naik refused to provide any comment but said that he would look into the matter and consult junior engineer Vivek Kudchadkar. The latter was unavailable for comment.
