Parul Chauhan is the new antagonist in 'Santoshi Maa'

Parul Chauhan, better known as Ragini in 'Sapna Babul Ka...Bidaai', has been roped in to play a pivotal role in the TV show 'Santoshi Maa'. She will be seen as the new antagonist, Swarnalekha. Her track will take off following Sayantani Ghosh’s exit from the show. According to a source associated with 'Santoshi Maa', "Sayantani wanted to take up another project and has parted ways with the production house on amicable terms.Since her character was extremely popular, we needed an actor who could match up to her level. Parul seemed like the apt choice to play the new antagonist in the show."

Also, contrary to rumours of Ratan Rajput’s quitting the show, she is still an integral part of it. Santoshi’s (played by Ratan) personality will undergo a 180 degree change that will shock the audience.
Parul was last seen in a cameo in 'Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi', which featured Shakti Arora and Radhika Madan as the lead couple.
