KOLKATA: In a first such instance, Bengal chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today had to face a direct question from her party workers on Singur. Her party colleagues from Singur today asked Didi about the future of Singur. Didi was addressing her party men at Netaji Indoor stadium today when a group of party workers started shouting slogans about Singur.

Interrupted by the slogans, Banerjee paused for a while and asked what they wanted to say. The TMC men asked, “Didi what would happen to Singur? What you have thought about it?”

Banerjee, who generally does not tolerate ‘indiscipline’ during a party meeting, maintained her calm and asked them to 'have faith in judicial system.' “I would request you all to keep faith in the judicial system. You will get justice. Moreover. The land is with the government. You have nothing to worry,” said Banerjee.
