I used to hide on seeing policemen: Pashanam Shaji

Pashanam Shaji is currently the most wanted mimicry artist in Kerala. The reason? His uncanny resemblance with the newly appointed DGP of Kerala, Loknath Behera. And while Shaji enjoys his newfound star status, he admitted in a recent interview that in real life, he used to run on seeing policemen. "My mom used to scare me saying I will be caught by the police. Later I appeared for the police test, but quietly scooted from the premises after clearing.If I had stayed on, I would have become an SI at least, but it would have been a loss to Malayalam cinema," he says. The actor adds that he is full of respect for the Kerala Police and that he has many policemen among his friends now.
