Navy plans big for Yoga Day

As a part of promoting wellness-oriented lifestyle, the Eastern Naval Command has been conducting yoga training camps and events in the run-up to the International Yoga Day on June 21.

The events are being conducted onboard warships and naval residential areas. Mass yoga sessions are also being conducted where various forms of yoga have been introduced to participants.

Further, the ENC has made elaborate preparations for the second International Yoga Day. A large number of yoga camps, covering all forms of yoga, will be held in the morning on the day. It will be followed by special yoga-related quizzes and competitions. Lectures by yoga experts on benefits of yoga and adopting yoga as a way of life are also being conducted.

Free workshops

To mark International Day of Yoga, Isha Foundation is organising free workshops at Tapasya Convention hall, MVP Colony, Sector IV, on Sunday. The sessions are scheduled from 7.30 a.m. to 9 a.m., 10 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. in Telugu followed by a last session in English from 7 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. Each class will be for 90 minutes.
