Eyebrows raised over DRM's visit to Gaya

Gaya: Eyebrows have been raised over Mughalsarai divisional railway manager (DRM) Kishor Kumar's visit to Gaya allegedly to receive railway minister Suresh Prabhu's wife Uma Prabhu in the land of Lord Buddha's enlightenment on Monday.
The minister's wife along with her two sisters was in Gaya on a personal visit for offering prayers at the world-famous Vishnupad temple.

Kumar explained that though he had been in Gaya on the day, his visit had nothing to do with the visit of the minister's wife. "Mine was an official tour to inspect facilities at Gaya railway station," he told TOI and termed the presence of the minister's wife in Gaya that day as a coincidence.
Asked if he did not receive the minister's wife with a bouquet and take care of her comforts, the DRM said such questions were "irrelevant" and he was not the right person to answer such questions.
"In any case, it must not be of any concern to anybody as to who met whom," said Kumar.
However, Grand Chord Passengers Association general secretary Lalji Prasad said the DRM demeaned the high position held by him. "The officer has been appointed to serve the Indian Railways, not the railway minister's family," he said.
