Shivamogga: The process of regularisation of houses built on government and gomaal lands before 2015 has begun in Shivamogga district, said MLA K B Prasanna Kumar.
People who have built houses on sites measuring 20x30 in urban areas and 50x80 in rural areas can get them regularized by paying a prescribed fee, he said. "People can submit applications for regularization of their houses with proper documents at Atalji centers along with a fee of Rs 50.
After processing applications, respective municipalities will give the rights of ownership to the house owners who in turn can get their houses registered in their names at the sub-registrar's office,'' Prasanna Kumar said.
There is no income limit for regularization and the last date for submitting application is October 15.
