One killed, two injured in accident on NH-4

Davanagere: A man from Surapur taluk in Yadgiri district was killed on the spot on the National Highway 4 near Hiriyuru in the early hours of Tuesday.
Reddy Pawar and two others, Sahadeva Bheemappa Rathod and Laalu, were travelling in a tractor to Mayakonda in Davanagere district from Tumakuru.
As they reached a dhaba near Adivala village, they parked their tractor and fell asleep.
An unidentified bus hit the tractor. Rathod and Laalu, who sustained injuries, are being treated at the government hospital at Hiriyuru and they are said to be out of danger. Hiriyuru Rural police have registered a case.
