WLNK-FM is NC 2016 Large Market Station of the Year

Greater Media Charlotte's WLNK-FM was awarded the North Carolina Association of Broadcasters (NCAB) 2016 Large Market Radio Station of the Year Award at the organization's annual convention. The event took place on Tuesday, June 14th at the Grandover Resort in Greensboro, North Carolina.
"I'm so proud of this team and what we've accomplished in the past year at 107.9 The Link," said Darla Thomas, brand manager of WLNK-FM. " Our strategy is not only about building fun promotions and events, but serving our community with hyper-local campaigns that make a difference. To be recognized by the NCAB with this award is a great honor and one I'm pleased to share with every single person on staff who's contributed to our success."
Criteria for the judging process included highlights and achievements during 2015, innovative programming, and revenue generation, audience involvement and promotion, commitment to the community, and hurdles encountered and how they were overcome.
The NCAB Station Awards are conducted annually to recognize outstanding achievement by North Carolina radio and television broadcasters. This competition was established to encourage the highest standards of reporting, community service, and production creativity.
