Noida: A visit to The Times of India printing press in Sahibabad on Wednesday kickstarted the Noida For Kids campaign, a series of workshops that aims to make summer vacations a fun learning experience for bright young minds.
The students were given a demonstration of how a newspaper press works and what goes into getting their favourite newspaper to their doorstep every morning.
They were amazed to learn that this is the largest of its kind press in Asia.
Istha Gupta, a Class XII student of Army Public School, said, "I want to be a fashion journalist and this experience only pushed me a step further to achieve my dreams. I would tell my school principal to organise a visit her as a part of school outing." Aaghaz Mahajan, a student of Father Agnel School, said, "The interesting part was the conveyor belt and the dispatching system, especially how they get packed."
