Carrefour corporate social responsibility program brings children closer to food safety, nutrition
In front of the vegetable counters in the Carrefour Shenyang Wenhualu store, a couple of school kids are choosing some sticks of celery very carefully, a process which is making quite an impression with adults in the supermarket.
"It's my first time I am picking vegetables for myself. I have learned a lot about food safety and how to eat healthy," said Zhai Siyuan, a 10-year boy at Shenyang Wenhualu Primary School.
