Private bus mows down pedestrian

Ludhiana, June 15

Barely two days after two minor girls were crushed to death by a speeding Jujhar bus, a man was mowed down by the company’s bus in Mullanpur here today.

Mullanpur Deputy Superintendent of Police Dakha Ajay Raj Singh, while confirming the incident, said Swarn Kumar was killed while he was crossing the Ludhiana-Ferozepur highway.

He said a case against the bus driver had been registered under Section 304-A of the IPC for reckless driving causing death.

The bus was heading from Moga to Ludhiana.

Meanwhile, the Jagraon police have failed to arrest the Jujhar bus driver who had killed the two minor girls returning from Ferozepur to Ludhiana on a bike with their cousin.
