Is this officer under pressure to save Mahadevprasad's son?

Geologist says minister not at fault after raiding his son's quarry!

Mysuru: A woman officer with the mines and geology department, Geologist Ms Krishnaveni who visited the quarry owned by Ganesh Prasad, son of co-operation minister, Mr H.S. Mahadevprasad, and seized two lorries, transporting white building stones without an e-permit, has reportedly come under pressure to undo the ‘damage’ she caused.

Sources told Deccan Chronicle that she was asked to give media statements favouring Mr Mahadevprasad and his son. After IAS officer Rashmi Mahesh and former DySP Anupama Shenoy, Ms Krishnaveni is one more lady officer who is at the receiving end due to lack of support from higher ups.

Interestingly, a press release issued by deputy director, department of mines and geology, Mr K.R. Veerabhadraiah, has said that the lorries seized during the visit by Ms Krishnaveni to quarries in Gundlupet in Chamarajnagar, belonged to one Mr Ravikumar. The issue has no connection with Minister Mahadevprasad or his son, he has stated. Even Ms Krishnaveni issued a statement on Wednesday saying, “The minister is not at fault.”

It’s time both ministers quit, says KSE
The state BJP on Wednesday demanded the dismissal of ministers, Dr H.C. Mahadevappa and Mr Mahadevprasad, on grounds that their children are involved in illegal mining. While the Lokayukta court in Mysuru has served a notice on Dr Mahadevappa's son Mr Sunil Bose, an officer of Mines and Geology department, Ms Krishnaveni, had raided an illegal quarry operated by Mahadevprasad's son, Ganesh Prasad. BJP leaders, K S Eshwarappa and C T Ravi, told the media,“The ministers should not be in the cabinet.”
