Wani re-elected NC provincial chief

Nasir Aslam Wani was unanimously re-elected as the provincial president of the National Conference for the Kashmir division today.

His election was held at a delegates’ convention held at the party’s headquarters here. The delegates’ session for the election was presided over by party’s working president Omar Abdullah and convened by party general secretary Ali Mohammad Sagar.

The session was attended by senior party leaders, including additional general secretary Sheikh Mustafa Kamal and the former and current legislators.

“Party’s election convener and general secretary Haji Ali Mohammad Sagar announced the conclusion of the election process and declared Wani’s unanimous re-election as the party’s provincial president for Kashmir in the presence of all delegates,” the party said in a statement.
