DEHRADUN: The Corbett Tiger Reserve and the Rajaji National Park have been closed for the rainy season.



Dehradun, June 15

The Corbett Tiger Reserve and the Rajaji National Park have been closed for the rainy season. These will be opened on November 15.

More than 25,000 tourists visited the Rajaji Park this season. Besides, 1,600 foreign tourists also turned up here.

At the Corbett Tiger Reserve, more than 2,76,000, excluding 7,000 foreigners, paid a visit this season. The Reserve earned a revenue of Rs 8 crore. Meanwhile, authorities at the Corbett and Rajaji parks have preparations for monsoon patrolling in order to keep poachers at bay.—TNS
