Modern Family star poses with Britney Spears for a photo... and has no idea who she is

Britney saw Ed waiting for his flight in LAX and asked him for a photo, to which he obliged.

However, he was totally unaware that the person he was posing with was one of the most well-known popstars all over the world, Britney Spears.

“I saw a woman approaching me,” Ed, who plays Jay in the hit series, told Ellen DeGeneres.

“She came up and said, ‘Oh, Mr. O’Neill, I love Modern Family. You’re my favourite on the show. Could you please?”

“She couldn’t have been nicer,” he said.

Ellen asked did he really not know it was her, to which he responded:

“No, I didn’t know it was her!

"I mean, look at the look on my face. Do I look like I’m sitting with Britney Spears?”

Ed is set for the big screen soon as he voices an octopus named Hank in Finding Dory, in which Ellen DeGeneres stars.
