A 44-year-old man was beaten to death by his son-in-law after a scuffle outside Seemapuri police station in northeast Delhi.

New Delhi: A 44-year-old man was beaten to death by his son-in-law after a scuffle outside Seemapuri police station in northeast Delhi. Manoj Kumar got his daughter married to the accused a couple of years ago and since then he had been facing dowry demands.
Kumar had gone to the police station to report the dowry demand. Eyewitnesses said as soon as he came out of the police station, his son-in-law started punching and kicking him.
He did not stop even when a huge crowd gathered around them. He stopped when cops rushed out of the station.
The victim started bleeding profusely after the beatings. He was taken to a hospital where doctors declared him brought dead. Kumar was a heart patient and had been visiting the police station from the past few days to lodge the complaint.
