Digital payment platform, Freecharge, which offers consumers across the country the chance to make prepaid, postpaid, DTH and electricity bill payments for utility service providers in addition to leading online and offline merchants. One can use Freecharge wallet at several Point of Sales terminals and online gateways. For instance, at places like Shoppers Stop, McDonalds, Cafe Coffee Day, Haldirams, and others, a customer just has to use the OTP (One Time Password) which will be sent through an SMS (if s/he has downloaded the app on phone) and the payment will be done in almost less than 10 seconds. Freecharge can also be used for online payments at Red Bus, Clear Trip, Oyo, Cinepolis, Yepme, Zivame.
According to a recent Neilsen study, Freecharge Wallet is the fastest growing wallet in the country with a reach of 30% and it has a success rate of 99%.
