Everyone was looking forward to what Sanjay Dutt would do next. The 56-year-old star walked out of Pune's Yerwada Central Jail as a free man in February this year and he promised us that he would only do great films from now on.

Well, bad news. Sanju Baba's comeback film, which was to begin rolling in August this year, has reportedly been postponed.

According to a report in BollywoodLife.com, Sanjay Dutt's next film, an untitled project to be directed by Siddharth Anand (Bang Bang, Salaam Namaste) is most likely not going to happen. His project, Marco Bhau, with Vidhu Vinod Chopra will probably be his first film after walking out of prison.

A source told the website that Sanjay Dutt had been preparing hard for the Siddharth Anand film for the past few months. He was learning a special form of martial arts as he was very excited about the project. However, no female lead had been finalised even as the shooting was supposed to begin in August.

Athiya Shetty was supposedly offered the film, but she hasn't heard the script yet.

Siddharth Anand was keen to cast Kriti Sanon, but the Heropanti actor seemed disinterested.

"Siddharth had promised the producers that he would get Kriti on board a couple of months ago, but he has not been able to deliver," said a source to the website, "Now the producers are getting impatient with the shooting date approaching and putting pressure on him while he is hunting for another heroine in place of Kriti. The latest is that she met Siddharth and the producers recently."

The source added that Siddharth is contractually obligated to the producers to deliver the film, so he either makes it or they shelve it.

Now, Marco Bhau, to be directed by Shelly Chopra, is mostly likely going to be the Munna Bhai actor's comeback film. The production of the film was supposed to have begun in October, but that may be shifted to an earlier date. It is an emotional film about a father and his daughter.
