Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra yet not finalised as Aashiqui 3 cast, says Bhushan Kumar

Earlier, Alia Bhatt's uncle Mukesh, who is the other producer for the movie, had confirmed that the actress and Sidharth Malhotra were part of the project.

Bhushan Kumar, one of the producers of Aashiqui 3, on Tusday (June 14) said that they are still working on the film’s script and are yet to cast actors for the movie.

“We will not like to talk about ‘Aashiqui 3’ as we are yet to lock the actors. The casting is not locked yet. We are still working on our script,” Bhushan Kumar of T-Series told reporters here at an event.

Earlier, Alia Bhatt’s uncle Mukesh, who is the other producer for the movie, had confirmed that the 23-year-old actress and actor Sidharth Malhotra were part of the project.

Hrithik Roshan was supposed to be part of the third installment of the romantic film, but things did not work out.

Alia had also said that she has not yet signed “Aashiqui 3”.

Gossip mills are abuzz that Alia and Sidharth are not dating each other and due to this, the film’s story is being re-worked.

“Whatever news is coming in the media relating to the film and casting… is not finalised yet,” Kumar clarified.

“We can’t say anything on this (casting) as the work is still on the script. Till the time, the script is not finalise we can’t announce anything,” he added.
