Now, women travelling by train with infants need not worry about baby food and hot milk as the South Central Railway in a new initiative ‘Janani Sewa’ will supply baby food items at important stations and children’s menu on trains. The initiative was the response of Railways Minister Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu who learnt about the travails of a mother who could not find baby food and milk while travelling by a long-distance train.

Complaint

The woman complained of her problem on a social networking site of Indian Railways explaining her hardship due to non-availability of infant food on trains.

He responded quickly and instantly arranged to serve hot milk to her baby at the next station itself.
