TVR boss Les Edgar will give you a car with a 5.0 Cosworth V8 and an outstandingly light and rigid chassis designed by Gordon Murray soon enough. And it's going to be a blast. I'm sure about this.

They have a factory in Wales, they have buyers eager to burn some rubber, and every petrolhead on this planet wants to see TVR roar back. The only problem is that despite many expecting the new Griffith to appear in its full glory for the first time at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, plans have changed since last year. TVR tells us the company decided to upgrade all 250 Launch Edition cars to the new carbon fiber iStream specification, and developing that will take about six months more.

I'm afraid that means we won't see a physical car until late summer, which is a bummer, but if anything, a carbon fiber Murray Design sports car with a (later certainly supercharged) Cosworth V8 is worth waiting for.

If I'm wrong and this all goes south, just buy a Sagaris with an upgraded Speed Six.
