Shorgul song Mast Hawa: Hrishita Bhatt's item song is BLAH!

Yet another forgettable item song returns to the marquee in the form of Shorgul's Mast Hawa. The song is composed by Lalit Pandit and its lyrics are written by politician Kapil Sibal. The first song of Shorgul, Tere Bina, had surprised us with its soft composition and and beautiful visuals. However the same cannot be said about the new song from the film, an item song featuring Hrishita Bhatt. Hrishita Bhatt, who? Remember that sweet girl next door who stole the heart of Shahid Kapoor in the album song Aankhon Mein Tera Hi Chehra? She laters acted in a few Bollywood films like Abhishek Bachchan's Shararat, Shah Rukh Khan's Asoka, Riteish Deshmukh's Out of Control before moving on to B-grade films. In the song, she plays the nachaniya girl who is giving life to the party of the political goons. Mast Hawa is a typical item song seen in many Bollywood films, where the girl puts up the seductive dance for the villain of the piece, here played by Jimmy Sheirgill. If you remember, Jimmy Sheirgill and Hrishita had played a couple in Dil Vil Pyar Vyar and Delhii Heights. If you don't, we don't blame you!
