Kanpur: The students of many schools in the city have performed well in JEE Advanced 2016.
As many as 13 students of Dr Virendra Swarup Education Centre, Awadhpuri branch have managed to crack JEE Advanced. Pushkar Dixit, who had scored 463 AIR and was the fourth city topper, now wants to pursue BTech electrical engineering from IIT-Kanpur. He said that he could not do well in the JEE Advanced but he still manage to get AIR below 500.

Kushagra Rajput, another meritorious student of the same school had scored 828 AIR in JEE Advanced and a category rank of 108.
Kushagra said that he cleared JEE Advanced in his first attempt. He said that he likes mathematics. He now wants to pursue BTech in computer science from IIT-Kanpur.
The students who had cleared JEE Advanced were Anshul Yadav (AIR 1571), Rahul Saxena (AIR 2033), Pallav Singh (AIR 2388), Harshit Dixit (AIR 4954), Prakhar Tripathi (AIR 6460), Prabhat Kannaujia (AIR 8323), Rohan Anand (AIR 13,435) among others.
A total of 21 students of Dr Virendra Swarup Education Centre, Kidwai Nagar branch had managed to clear the JEE Advanced. The school topper was Rishabh Agarwal AIR 715.
Twelve students from the school, out of 21 had secured rank below 10,000 and were sure of getting admission in the IITs.

The remaining would get admission in the IIITs and NITs in the country. A total of 18 students of BNSD Shiksha Niketan had also cleared JEE Advanced.
The school topper was Vivek Singh who had secured AIR 1268.
Rupal Gautam had scored AIR 2100 and was the second city topper. Saket Gupta (AIR 4000), Abhishek Mishra (AIR 4922), Prakhar Tripathi (AIR 5985) were the other toppers.
From Omkareshwar Saraswati Vidya Niketan Inter College, Jawahar Nagar, five students had managed to clear JEE Advanced.
These are Neelesh Verma (PWD-AIR 1), Bharat Gupta (AIR 5360), Malkhan Singh (AIR 16,766), Vaibhav Khare (AIR 15851) and Abhishek Khare (AIR 19756).
