NGO demands Arundhati's arrest under CGPS Act for her book on Maoist insurgency

Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh, Jun 13 (UNI) A Chhattisgarh-based Non-Government Organisation has demanded arrest of renowned author Arundhati Roy and Publisher of her new book "Walking with the Comrades" under the Chhattisgarh Public Security Act 2005 for having glorified Maoists for their unlawful activities and abused security forces in her book.
According to top police sources, a complaint in this regard lodged by Surguja-based NGO "Nange Paon" convenor Rajesh Sishodia with Dantewada Superintendent of Police KL Kashyap, had been handed over to Kotwali Police for investigation.
"If the allegations against Ms.Roy and her book's publisher Penguin India Private Limited, found to be true, police will take appropriate action against them after taking legal opinion in the matter," the sources said.
