CHANDIGARH:The Chandigarh Police have booked former CEO of Emmar MGF along with four others under various charges, including wrongful confinement and criminal trespass, at the Mauli Jagran police station.

The Chandigarh Police have booked former CEO of Emmar MGF along with four others under various charges, including wrongful confinement and criminal trespass, at the Mauli Jagran police station. 

The complainant in the case, Ram Kumar Mittal, a property dealer, stated that he had purchased a farm house in December, 2015. 

Mittal alleged that on Saturday around 8 pm he received a call from his employee who informed him that five persons had entered the farm house in a bid to take possession of the property. 

The complainant informed the police and reached the farm house. The police on reaching the farm house found that the main gate of the farm house was locked from inside. The police scaled the walls and caught four persons while the fifth one managed to escape. 

As per the FIR, the accused have been identified as Prince, Ravi Kumar, Gur Lal Singh and Sarabjeet. The fifth accused who managed to flee has been identified as Parminder Singh Sehgal, who is the former CEO of Emmar MGF.

A case under Sections 342 (wrongful confinement), 447 (criminal trespass), 448 (house trespass), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 120 –B (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been registered against all the accused at the Mauli Jagran police station.
