The Nanak Naam Seva Trust organsied a chabeel and held a religious book-launch ceremony to mark the martyrdom day of Guru Arjan Dev.
The event was held at Kichlu Chowk on the Court Road and the book, titled ‘Tera kiya mitha laagey’, by writer Rawail Singh, was released by the ex-servicemen.
The guest of the event was Colonel Swaran Singh, who said such acts of servitude were very important in promoting humanity and principles of our gurus.
“Today, morality and humanity are witnessing a downfall of sorts with people more inclined towards material gains. I salute the writers and volunteers, who take the responsibility to preach by example and promote the core values of our culture through literature.”
The others present at the event included Balbir singh sandhu and Dr Iqbal Kaur.
