Conspiracy on to malign us: Sanathan Sanstha

"One one hand, they have kept the weapon used for Dhabolkar's murder and on the other, they are saying that the weapon used for all the three murders was the same," said Abhay Vartak, a spokesperson of the Sanathan Sanstha.

Sanathan Sanstha on Saturday again termed the arrest of ENT surgeon Virendrasinh Tawde in the murder of Dr Narendra Dhabolkar as a conspiracy meant to malign the organisation.

"One one hand, they have kept the weapon used for Dhabolkar's murder and on the other, they are saying that the weapon used for all the three murders was the same," said Abhay Vartak, a spokesperson of the Sanathan Sanstha.

The Sanstha members were joined by members of the Hindu Jan Jagaruti, who denied that Tawde was their member. "There was a restriction on us when the Congress was in power and even now, despite the change in government, it is very difficult to express in words how we feel," said Vartak.

Vartak said that the actions of officials are destroying the lives of the people who are accused in the Madgaon blasts case. "Sadhvi Pragya has spent eight years in jail. After Sameer Gaikwad's arrest, they have not been able to show any proof against him in their charge sheet. Let me tell you that this is not the first arrest in the Dabholkar case. Khandelwal and Nagori were the first two to be arrested. Their lives have been destroyed," said Vartak.

The Sanshta spokesperson went on to allege that there was in fact an "international conspiracy" meant to defame the organisation. "The person in the CBI who has been handling the case has strictures against him, the lawyer is the same who was handling the Telgi case... The present government says it is not against Hindus but we have experiences which show that it is," Vartak said.
