Chandigarh: Panjab University (PU) on Saturday declared the result of PU - CET (UG) entrance test. The detailed result is available on PU website (http://results.puchd.ac.in/).
Kanvi Sharma (with 286.5 marks out of 360) topped in physics, chemistry and biology (PCB); Vivek Panghal (with 227.5 marks out of 360), topped in PCM; Hamandeep (with 209 marks out of 360) topped in physics, chemistry and biotechnology group and Shivank Bali (with 196.5 marks out of 360) topped in physical, chemistry, computer science group.

Niharika and Harshpreet Singh and Anshul Kataria secured second and third positions in PCB and Jaskiran Kaur and Saksham Mahajan secured second and third positions in PCM category.
PU - CET (UG) entrance test-2016 was conducted on June 1 for admission to BPharmacy (credit based semester system), BSc (honours school) and BHMS at Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital, Sector 26. As many as 16,699 students had applied for different under graduate courses. As many as 13,704 students had appeared for physics, 13,678 for chemistry, 7,023 for biology, 7,238 for mathematics, 178 for biotechnology and 713 for computer science tests.
As per the tentative list, the students had competed for admissions to 46 open seats and 6 NRI seats at BPharmacy at University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (UIPS), 30 open seats and four NRI seats each at BSc (honours school) anthropology, BSc (honours school) biochemistry and BSc (honours school) geology. There are 15 open seats and two NRI seats for BSc (honours school) Biotechnology, 20 open seats and three NRI seats at BSc (honours school) botany, 58 open seats and eight NRI seats at BSc (honours school) chemistry, 40 open seats and six NRI seats at BSc (honours school) mathematics, 25 open seats and four NRI seats at BSc (honours school) microbiology, 40 open seats and six NRI seats at BSc (honours school) physics, 20 open seats and three NRI seats at BSc (honours school) physics and electronics, 25 seats and four NRI seats each at BSc (honours school) zoology and BSc (honours school) biophysics.
