The National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) today urged the vice Chairman of Niti Ayog to earmark Rs 9,000 crore as special fund for the Jammu and Kashmir government to help implement the 7th Pay Commission report in the state.
“Apart from implementation of 7th pay commission, the fund would help in regularisation of 61,000 daily rated workers who are working in various departments in the state”, NMC president Subash Shastri said.

Shastri said that the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti should take up the issue of grant of special package with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley to ameliorate the condition that the salaried class find themselves in.
He said that the delay in the implementation of the 7th Pay Commission was causing a lot of problems to the salaried class and the pensioners.
