Ahly striker Amr Gamal will miss Monday's Egyptian league match against the Port Said based Masry as he needs to undergo nose surgery, Ahram Sport reported on Saturday.

"Gamal will undergo minor surgery on his nose on Sunday and won't be available for Monday's league match against Masry," Ahram Sport explained.

The 24-year-old Gamal has been a key player for both Ahly and Egypt's national team in recent games, but the latest local reports have been strongly hinting that he is close to leaving his club due to a recent bust up with Dutch coach Martin Jol.

For Monday's match the Cairo giants will be also missing the services of attacking midfielder Abdallah El-Said as he is suffering from a shoulder injury that will sideline him until the end of the season.

Defender Ahmed Hegazy is also still doubtful for the match as he is recovering from a muscular injury.

The Red Devils remain at the top of the league table on 71 points, eight ahead of second-placed and reigning champions Zamalek, while Masry lie in fourth position on 49 points.
