PESHAWAR: A man was killed while another person was injured when three attackers opened fire on a moving car near Jamrud police checkpost in the limits of Hayatabad police station on Friday.

A Hayatabad police official told Dawn that complainant Zeeshan reported to them that he along with his other companion, Daud, was going in a car when three plainclothes men signaled them to stop. He said that when they did not stop; the three men opened fire on the vehicle, in which Duad was killed.

The official said police arrested three accused identified as Ihsan, Saleh Mohammad and Naveed. He said Zeeshan belonged to Swat and Daud was from Charsadda, adding motive behind the killing was not immediately known.

Separately, two people were killed over family feuds in the limits of Urmur police station on Friday. The dead were identified as Daud and Hazrat Nabi.
