Moghe flays Modi for deceiving people
Chandrapur: Former minister ShivajiraoMoghe flayed Prime Minister NarendraModi for deceiving the people with smart talk and false assurances.
Moghe, who hails from Arni tehsil in Chandrapur Lok Sabha constituency, on Friday claimed that Dabhadi village is a live example of Modi’s deceit. Two years after Narendra Modi had held his famous ‘Chai Par Charcha’ programme during last Lok Sabha campaign, Dabhadi has not witnessed a single development work.
Modi had made tall claims to resolve the agrarian crises, hike the minimum support price of agriculture produce and ensure crop loans at minimum interest rate. None of these assurances have materialized. In fact not a single step has been taken towards resolving these issues in last two years, Moghe said during his visit to Chandrapur.
He claimed three farmers from Dabhadi have committed suicide in last two years. Suicides in Yavatmal district have nearly doubled during last year, he said. Farmers are running pillar to post for crop loans, but banks are reluctant to help them. Tall claims of providing ample and cheap power have proved deceptive and people are forced to face eight hours load-shedding and farmers are unable to water their crops.
“At a time when Maharashtra is facing harshest of drought in decades, Modi has no time to visit the state where he had held 42 public rallies during Lok Sabha campaign and had reaped huge majority in the elections,” Moghe said.
He alleged that Modi deceived the farmers through false promises and ascended to power.
Now that BJP is at the helm, all their assurances have proved false. Hence state Congress committee and state youth congress committee have decided to expose this deceit of BJP government through ‘Chai Ki Charcha’ programme organized on June 16 at same Dabhadi village in Arni tehsil.
Congress state president Ashok Chavan, general secretary of All India Congress Committee, Digvijay Singh, senior leader and Rajya Sabha member, Rajbabar, national president of youth congress Amrindersingh Raja Brar and state’s youth Congress president Vishvajeet Singh will participate in the programme.
