Thousands of families attend PTM at RMS

Islamabad - Thousands of happy families turned up at Roots Millennium Schools’ Parent Teacher Meetings (PTM) in twin cities and nationwide campuses which were based on the theme of “Science.”

The idea behind choosing this theme was to encourage students at all levels to engage in scientific inquiry and broaden their horizons on the subject, says a press release issued here yesterday.

Students prepared splendid projects on various topics related to the theme and proudly presented them on their PTMs.

It was an occasion which allowed that parental community to witness the efforts towards the holistic development of Millennials with focus upon developing social skills such as citizenship, honesty, respect for others, kindness, cooperation, generosity, courtesy and respect for home, school and community.

Roots Millennium Schools strongly believe that connecting home and school is the best key to student success in the classroom. Teachers and parents can use these moments to establish a rapport and a partnership to develop a common goal that focuses on helping children have the best possible school experience. The Parent Teacher Meeting is a great opportunity for educators and parents to share ideas and strategies that honour their shared responsibility in educating a child. Such conferences focus on academic learning, child’s behavioural and social development and individualised education plans.

The PTM is a three-way relationship among parents, child and the teacher to work together positively in order to bring out the child’s maximum potential. Both kids and teens do better in school when parents are involved in their academic lives. Attending parent teacher conferences is a way to be involved and help the child succeed.

In the words of a happy Millennial Parent, “Parent teacher meetings can play a very important role in a student’s development and academic success by maintaining an open dialogue and comparing notes on the student’s achievements, personality or behaviour.”

Chief Executive Roots Millennium Schools Chaudhry Faisal Mushtaq (TI), while meeting and greeting the parents in the campuses stated, “Teachers are experts in teaching, parents are expert on their children, they know what stimulates, bores and interests them, what they’re good at and what they struggle with. Parents know about their child’s learning style and if there are any other issues going on that might be affecting their learning at school. Therefore ongoing communication with child’s teacher is essential for the child’s academic strength. When parents and teachers work together to try and provide the best environment for learning, the child stands to benefit the most. Parents are empowered and regarded as real contributors to their children’s education and children appreciate seeing teachers and parent’s team up for their betterment.”

Excellent parental turnout was seen in all Roots Millennium Schools’ Islamabad and nationwide campuses. Most of them are satisfied with the quality of educational standard provided by RMS, and appreciative of the efforts of the faculty.
