More coaches added in some trains

The Southern Railway has announced the augmentation of coaches in the following trains: The Kanniyakumari– Howrah–Kanniyakumari Express trains (12666/12665) will be permanently augmented with one AC 3-tier coach ex-Kanniyakumari from June 25 and ex-Howrah from June 27.

The Nagercoil–Mumbai CST–Nagercoil Express (16352/16351) will be permanently augmented with one AC 3-tier coach ex-Nagercoil from June 23 and ex-Mumbai CST from June 25.

The Chennai Egmore–Nagercoil–Chennai Egmore Express (12667/12668) trains will be permanently augmented with one AC 3-tier coach ex-Chennai Egmore from June 23 and ex-Nagercoil from June 24

Special trains

The Southern Railway has announced the operation of Superfast Suvidha special trains from Tiruchi to Santragachi via Chennai Egmore.

The Tiruchi – Santragachi Superfast Suvidha Special Train (00609) will leave Tiruchi at 5.30 p.m. on June 18 and 25 (Saturdays) and reach Santragachi at 4.30 a.m. on the following Mondays.

The trains would stop at Srirangam, Ariyalur, Vridhachalam, Villupuram, Chengalpattu, Tambaram, Chennai Egmore, Gudur, Nellore, Ongole, Chirala, Tenali, Vijayawada, Eluru, Tadepalligudem, Rajahmundry, Samalkot, Duvvada, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam Road, Palasa, Brahmapur, Khurda Road, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Bhadrak, Balasore and Kharagpur. Advance reservations for the trains are open, a Southern Railway press release said.
