New Delhi: Bandhan Bank Chairman and Managing director Chandrashekhar Ghosh was adjudged the winner of the Indian of the Year 2015 in the business category.
Receiving the award from Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, Ghosh thanked him for the support provided by the government in setting up the bank.
Ghosh added that Bandhan Bank is helping them reach the bottom of the pyramid by providing inclusive banking to all sections of the society.
Ghosh added that the bank has been able to raise 14,000 crore in deposits and 85 lakh customers across 29 states and continues to grow.
Chandrashekhar Ghosh, also spoke about how the bank is changing the lives of many in rural India.
