Soldier from Vijayapura dies after falling off building

Vijayapura: Malleshi Kallappa Pujari, 35, a soldier attached to the Second Maratha Regiment, died after he fell off a building in Pune on Tuesday.
Malleshi, a native of Karajol village in Vijayapura district and is survived by wife Savita and two children Sachin,6 and Shanta, 3.
His body was cremated at the High School Ground in the village on Wednesday with full military honours.
Zilla panchayat president Neelamma Meti, ex-servicemen welfare department joint director D H Hugar, tahasildar Halagurki and others were present.
Malleshi had joined the Army immediately after completing SSLC and had served in Jamma and Kashmir, Andaman and Rajasthan before his last posting at Pune.
Pujari was working as a trainer for freshers in the Army. He is about to retire in one and half years.
