NDFB(S) cadre held with hand grenade

Guwahati: Chirang Police arrested one NDFB (Songbijit) cadre, identified as Sabian Mushahary alias Adam (27) at Amteka under Amguri police station in the district on Wednesday. Police found a hand grenade in his possession.
Adam was a close associate of slain hardcore cadres of the Bodo rebel group, police said. The arrest occurred at a time when state chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal was visiting the districts for a review meeting with the deputy commissioners and DCs and top cops of lower Assam division in Bongaigaon.
