German police have detained six men in connection with Tuesday's fire at a refugee center in the western German city of Duesseldorf, The Local said Wednesday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — On Tuesday, 130 people were evacuated from the center and 30 people, including refugees and rescue workers, were injured as a result of the blaze.

Police are questioning six men who had been living at the center amid an investigation into a case of arson, The Local reported, citing police sources.

Over 70 Injured in Fire at Refugee Camp in Greece’s Lesbos - Reports
Previous reports of an arrest of two refugees suspected of arson after admitting to starting the fire to local reporters were not confirmed by police to the news outlet.

The cause of the fire remains undetermined, while a xenophobic attack has been ruled out over lack of evidence.

Instances of fires at European refugee centers have become more frequent. A blaze broke out at a refugee detention center earlier in June, while in April, a refugee admitted to setting fire to a hotel accommodating refugees in order to stage a hate crime.
