Jeje has potential to play outside India: Constantine

"Jeje is a complete striker. He can score as well as he can hold the ball when it's needed, thus creating space for others and giving the team more attacking options. That's the quality of a good striker," said Constantine.

KOLKATA: There seems to be no stopping Jeje Lalpekhlua.
The India striker has been in red-hot form of late. Having scored the only goal in the 1-0 win in away leg, the Mizo striker scored a brace in India's 6-1 demolition of Laos in their AFC Asian Cup first-round qualifying play-off at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium in Guwahati on Tuesday.
While Jeje's goal-scoring spree helped India make the third and final round of qualifiers for the continent's flagship tournament, the striker also became the first player to have scored in both legs of a qualifier since Jo Paul Ancheri had achieved the feat during the pre-World Cup qualifier against Brunei in 2001.

No wonder Jeje's recent form has pleased national coach Stephen Constantine to such an extent that the British coach believes that the striker is capable of playing in a foreign league.
"Jeje is a complete striker. He can score as well as he can hold the ball when it's needed, thus creating space for others and giving the team more attacking options. That's the quality of a good striker," Constantine said after India's victory on Tuesday.
"Jeje has the potential to play outside India," the British coach added.
The striker, pleased with his performance, said that he's ready to lead the Indian attack.
"My goals are the result of my hard work. I've been focusing on my fitness and hitting gym even after a practice session. All this is now paying off. But I have still a lot of work to do," Jeje commented.
At the club level, apart from helping Chennaiyin FC win the second edition of Indian Super League, Jeje was also an integral part of Mohun Bagan's triumph in the Federation Cup in the last month.
