Cutesy bows may be reserved for little girls, but Elli Avram demonstrates how you can add a girlie touch with a bow bun.
Here’s how to get this look:
For a fluffy bow, wash your hair with a volumising shampoo and conditioner. Use a heat-protectant product and blow dry. Brush out to detangle and smoothen before you pull your hair back into a ponytail and secure it with an elastic. But instead of pulling the ponytail all the way through the band, make a loop, leaving the ends out. The loose ends will form the centre of the bow. Take a little sculpting gel and create the shape of a bow by evenly distributing the bun into two sections. Secure the sides with bobby pins used vertically. Bring the loose ends in front from top and pull it back through the middle of the bun. Spritz some hairspray and pin the loose ends neatly with bobby pins. Make sure all the flyaways are fixed with a gel. Finish with shine spray.
