Kangra woman succumbs to injuries

KANGRA: A 45-year-old woman, who had a fall from a hillock at Ichvas Udan village of Kelard in Pangi, died last night while undergoing surgery at the Dr Rajendra Prasad Govt Medical College at Tanda, the police said here today.

A 45-year-old woman, who had a fall from a hillock at Ichvas Udan village of Kelard in Pangi, died last night while undergoing surgery at the Dr Rajendra Prasad Govt Medical College at Tanda, the police said here today.

The police said Lal Dehi, wife of Brijlal of Ichvas Udan, had gone to a forest, along with her brother-in-law on Sunday, for collecting fodder where she fell off a hillock and was seriously injured and had suffered a leg fracture. The police said she was rushed to hospital at Kelard where doctors referred her to the DRPGMC at Tanda. She died while undergoing surgery last night, the police said. The body was handed over to the relatives after a postmortem. The police have started investigation under Section 174 CrPC.
